I just watched your I Love Granny Video. My grandma was the love of my life, so I wanted to share with you some information that may help your legal battle at the nursing home. Abuse is a serious ongoing problem in the US. I have witnessed it in independent living, nursing homes, and with disabled populations. Caregivers manhandle or steal food from clients, and in stay awake shifts, they sleep in the other end of the house, so the client wakes up and falls, complicating their health. Corrupted caregivers stick up for each other, so their agency does not investigate enough, and when the clients or spouses complain, they are ignored. It is a manifestation of corruption. In some cases, greedy neighbors or family members who act as Legal Guardians, are only stealing, so they do not intervene if a caregiver is abusive. Desperate to find caregivers, agencies often hire people with criminal records, or people who oppose compassion, and the administrative staff typically cash their checks, turning their heads, even if later, they pretend to care in front of TV cameras. Competent caregivers are often unemployed or not allowed to do their work because other caregivers with different political beliefs sabotage, at the expense of the client. We are living in the American Gulag in many ways. We need to weed out crooks.
