Before & After:Fitness Motivation

I know right now most of the country is being hit by the huge snow storm. I've Invited my friends to workout after work & the excuses I get are "it's too cold" or "I'm too tired". Excuses excuses excuses. One thing I've learned you can't depend on a friend or anyone to keep their promises about going to the gym with you. It can be fustrating. It's a lot nicer to have a workout buddy. However, just because they make excuses doesn't mean you should. Spring & Summer will be here before you know it. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to wear cute little spring dresses & shorts. I want to feel great about my body when it's time to break them out. A lot of people loose motivation when it comes to fitness in the winter. They think..well ill just wear a sweater to cover up any excess baggage I've accumulated over the winter! Haha! We've all been there. I've been doing a lot of research about how I wanted to write this blog post for you ladies. I can tell you all day eat this, do that.. But I'm a visual person. I like to see results & real people who've achieved their fitness goals & it's so inspiring. Those commercials that celebrities do about weightloss.. I mean it's a joke in my opinion. They don't live regular lives like we do. They don't have the stresses of school, college or jobs like we do. They have all the time in the world to just work out with their personal trainer & have their private chef cook them healthy low calorie meals. Well I don't know about you.. But I like to see real women just like us do it & succeed. I found some great before & after pictures of real women who stayed motivated & reached their goals. It's so motivating & inspiring. I hope it motivates you too. If you want it then you gotta work for it. Have any of you been slacking on your fitness, or have you been staying on top of it?

Always love hearing from you.

Candace

And I have to give props to Jessica Simpson. I consider her my style icon. The beautiful mother of two achieved her goal & looks fabulous! Way to go Jess!

Dreaming of Spring

I was recently cleaning out my macbook pro and came across this picture that I took last summer.
I immediately got excited. I'm a born and raised Florida girl and now i'm living in North Carolina. It's been miserably cold here too. I enjoy the winter and fall weather to an extent. However, my heart truly loves Spring and Summer. I always gravitate towards clothes that are bright and vibrant. It matches my personality and I love accessorizing with color. Although I know most girls in the winter time have all these rules about wearing bright colored clothes in the winter. I find that repulsive! I don't live my life trying to please society. I wear what makes me happy and i'm all about wearing a bright neon sweater in the middle of January. I went and peeked into my Spring and Summer closet and just got so happy inside. I can't wait to wear cute little skirts and dresses with adorable sandals and wedges. Does that get you excited too? I'm just tired of having to dress in layers and layers of bulky clothing to stay warm. I'm only in North Carolina. I can't even begin to imagine what you ladies are going through who live even further north. Stay warm girls and Spring is slowly and surely on it's way :)

Pampered Weekend: Hair, Shellac & Facials

Have you ever had a week where it felt like it lasted for an eternity? Well that pretty much sums up mine. I was hoping the weekend weather would also be nice.  Well that also didn't work in my favor. It was snowing & bitterly cold. I decided I needed a relaxing weekend to just focus on myself, & I wasn't going to let the weather, or anything else get in my way. I made an appointment to get my hair done with my stylist at Ulta.
Have any of had any services there before? My stylist does amazing & she is so good with color & really listens to what I want. I always appreciate that. I typically see her every five weeks. Great thing about Ulta versus other salons is they send out great coupons that I can use on my services & it saves me money. That always makes me happy. I also rack up on my points. I was thrilled when I checked out & I ended up getting my holly grail eye liner by Mally for free. A 26$ value free!! It's just what I needed to make this weekend even better. All those points I earned paid off. After that I went & got my nails done. I did shellac & they turned out beautiful.
After that I headed over to the spa. I got a facial & it was just so relaxing. I'm a medical esthetician & I'm constantly working on my patients & sometimes you forget how great it feels on yourself.
How often do you get facials? I have a lot of skin care post that I'm going to be posting & I'm very excited. Hope everyone had a great weekend. As most people will be watching the Oscars tonight.. I honestly could care less. I'll be watching the Walking Dead! :)

Till next time

New hair pictures

Hey ladies! So I wanted to do a quick post. I recently changed my hair from being blonde my entire life to dark. It's been a week & I thought I would share some pictures of how it looks. It's definitely different but it's surprisingly growing on me. My hair feels softer & even looks shinier than it did when it was blonde. Blonde chemicals were really damaging to my hair.
